AITAF at Joint Base Pearl-Harbor Hickam


On Thursday, September 1, 2022, Arts In The Armed Forces will perform a reading of the play Lobby Hero by Kenneth Lonergan at Sharkey Theater. Doors open at 5:00PM | Show starts at 6:00PM. While this is a free event, registration is required.

We recommend securing your tickets here in advance, but you can get a ticket at the door the day of the event should you wish to do so. Space is limited, so those walk up tickets are available on a first come first serve basis. Walk up tickets will be provided starting at 5:45PM.

About Lobby Hero
Lobby Hero is a play by Kenneth Lonergan that premiered Off-Broadway in 2001 to great success. It was then revived in 2018 on Broadway starring Michael Cera and Chris Evans. This iteration of the play received several nominations included Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards, and Drama League Awards. 

The show follows a security guard in his late twenties, his strict supervisor, and an overbearing cop and his rookie female partner. The show is set in a foyer of a middle-income Manhattan apartment building in the middle of the night. It is a highly entertaining and powerful piece.
